Designer Notes

The site is located about 30 minutes south of Cancun in the Riviera region on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. This par 72 layout weaves through the natural vegetation within Capella Bahia Maroma’s 254 acre setting opposite the world’s second largest coral reef – the Great Maya Reef.

At approximately 7,000 yards, the golf holes take their cues from the natural terrain. Sculpted bunkers, strategically placed hazards, a mix of green contours, combined with varying breezes off of the Caribbean – result in a challenging but fair course that will delight private members and resort guests. Many holes feature striking views of the crystal blue Caribbean Sea, with the 9th and 17th holes finishing directly at water’s edge. The 18th hole is a Par 3 that runs parallel to the Caribbean and creates an unforgettable finish to this round of golf.
