Client Course Description

The 1995 parkland styled course at Eagle Springs, the last original design of Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, is set in Wolcott’s Vail Valley. The Eagle River provides both a scenic and strategic role throughout course, including the finishing sequence of holes.  The routing maximizes the site’s considerable topographic variety, providing a visually-striking and desirable blend of uphill, downhill and more flattish holes.   The course also features expansive, bold bunkering, large, undulating greens and ponds that come into play on four holes.

Designer Notes

Designer has prepared a Long-Range Master Plan.  In 2024, tee complex improvements were implemented on hole six.  In 2025, the green complex of hole five will be relocated and redesigned to enhance the hole’s strategic value, increase shot options and improve overall playability.  A new Forward tee will also be added.
