The best-known of the Pinehurst complex of golf courses, this old Donald Ross course hosted the 1999 U.S. Open.
In preparation for the 2005 Open, we added back tees on selected holes.
Following the renovation, Pinehurst #2 soared to the top of the ‘Greatest Courses’ lists. Golf Digest named it the #2 Greatest Public Course, a position it held from 2003 to 2006, marking its highest ranking ever. Additionally, in 2001, Golf Digest panelists ranked it #9 among America’s Greatest Courses, also its highest achievement to date
