Pinehurst No. 7 is a worthy neighbor to the famed No. 2 course. Built on the most rugged terrain of all the Pinehurst courses, No. 7 incorporates all the natural features that have made Pinehurst famous in golf. Hole No. 16 plays across an abandoned tar pit that was discovered during construction.
