Designer Notes

Just a short 35-minute drive from downtown Chattanooga, McLemore is a planned mountaintop, upper/upscale hotel and conference center located on beautiful Lookout Mountain, Georgia.

Formerly Canyon Ridge Club, this project was a complete renovation of an existing course. Collaborating with golf course designer Bill Bergin, the renovation enhanced the greens complexes, optimize angles to green locations, and improve fairway and greenside bunker placements. A completely new 18th hole was designed on a cliff edge overlooking McLemore Cove and the old fairway was repurposed into a 6 hole short course. Yardages were adjusted to create more variety and provide a world-class test for the game’s best players and accessibility for beginners.
